SOLUTION

SOLUTION

To collect climatic data between 150 and 1500 meters above the cities thanks to captive balloons and drones and to guarantee for the first time a complete and permanent apprehension of the urban climatic phenomena.

Modeling the urban climate in an operational way (thanks to a specific algorithm) in the medium and long term based on these unpublished data and on the existing data for the understanding of the urban climate: the satellite and “ground” data coming from the meteorological and global climate observations.

A solution that answers to:

Growing urbanization

  • 50% of the world’s population lives in cities today.
  • 60% of what will be urban in 2050 is not yet built.
  • 5,000,000 people move to the city each month.

Specific micro-climate

Existence of climate phenomena specific to cities (floods, heat islands, pollution / urban climate).

Climatic changes

  • Increased risk of floods.
  • Multiplication of the islands of heat.
  • Significant degradation of air quality.

3 factors that impact on :

The life’s quality of the world’s citizens

(ex : cardiovascular diseases, respiratory problems, …).

The economy, due to the costs of urban planning errors

(ex : relocation of waste treatment plants due to the emergence of heat islands, reorganization of drainage systems due to the massive increase in rainfall).

Environment

(Cities are responsible for 70% of greenhouse gas emissions).

Geopolitical balance

(ex: climate migration, water war ..).
